After a long and much anticipated wait, Christmas finally united Franny and Kanani, and the two have been constant companions ever since.  Shortly after, Rick started planning a trip for Franny to the American Girl store in Seattle.  Anticipation everything American Girl, right there to see and touch, has been on the forefront of Franny's mind nearly every waking moment...or at least it seems like it!  

Monday was finally Franny's day!  After walking through the store a few times, she took Kanani to the doll hair salon and picked out a cute style, as well as earrings for ear piercing.  We shopped in the store for about an hour before our reservation of lunch at the American Girl Bistro, which included seats and place settings for dolls.  After more shopping, we concluded our visit and Franny left the store walking on air.  

When that first American Girl catalog arrived at our door, I had no idea what was in store for us.  And, while it is over the top, I think it is all wonderful, because it makes Franny so happy.  It was definitely a special day for a very special little girl.
