This week we were the grateful recipients of our good friends’ generosity, as they gave us a huge bag of clothes for Delaney and Cole. Being clothes, they were of particular interest to Franny. Even though she knew they were not for her, she wanted to be the one to get them out, sort them, and put them away. She pointed out the detailing of each, matched pieces up into outfits, and determined where each should be worn. I don’t know where she gets it, but the girl is just crazy about clothes. Even sorting laundry is fun for Franny.

After his nap, a bleary-eyed Cole wandered into Franny’s fun. He took a look at the big pile of clothes, picked up a blue Columbia fleece jacket, and sat down with it clutched to his chest. I don’t know if it was the color the caught his eye or if it was that it closely resembles his birthday jacket that he loves. Whatever it was, he wasn’t giving it up and ended up wearing it for most of the afternoon. Eventually, Franny demanded that he start trying on all the other clothes. While he did like a number of the other items, nothing compared to that jacket.
