Tonight we wrapped up 2010 with a trip to Zoo Lights.  I initially wasn’t sure if we were going to make it, this year.  But, when I was sick, Rick asked the kids if they wanted to go, and Franny’s response was No, that is something that we always do together!  With a response like that, there was no way that I wasn’t going to take the kids this year.  And, it was a fun trip and I’m very glad we went.  While it was something that we have done every year, it was quite a presentation, with a lot of new things to see, as well a lot of old favorites.  And, for Delaney it was all new, and she really loved all the lights.  It was bitter cold, so we kept our visit short, but it was long enough for Franny and maintaining a favorite holiday tradition, as well as for the other kids.  It was their choice for celebrating the end of the year, and in the end, that is what is most important.
