Franny has been talking about going to kindergarten since she was three years old.  During the last two years or so, she has loved to visit the school, play on the playground, and talk about what it must be like to be in kindergarten.  And today, she finally was able to see how her imagination lined up with reality.  When she got on the bus she was all smiles.  She didn’t even need a nudge—the bus stopped and she got right on.  She was still smiling when the bus drove away.  When she returned in the afternoon, she was confident, excited, and it was obvious that she had a really good experience.  It was such a big day with tremendous changes and expectations on her, but she handled it all with incredible poise.  Although I am not surprised how she did, I am still so proud of her.  She is such a wonderful little girl and I am very excited for her and this first year of school.
