We broke away as a family today and enjoyed a couple of mini adventures after Delaney’s naps. The first was spent at Fort Rock Park, where all three kids had a tremendous time. Delaney tried her very best to keep up with the big kids, and her favorite thing was clearly the merry-go-round. Fortunately, the park wasn’t very crowded, so she had quite a few opportunities to ride it at a fairly slow speed. In the afternoon, we went for a walk and the kids loaded up Delaney’s empty stroller with pinecones. It was a good down day; all the kids are having such a great time, but they were also starting to show signs of tiredness. They really needed a quieter day to rejuvenate for more adventures. And, our time here is passes quickly—it was good to take some time to just go slow, breathe deeply, and enjoy being together.
