I’ve blogged before about how much the kids love bowling—even Delaney is getting into it, now.  They have been to a number of playgroup meetings and birthday parties at different bowling alleys, and it is always a hit.  But, what deserves equal billing is the arcades that always accompany the bowling alley venue.  In fact, at a birthday party this afternoon, Franny, Cole, and Delaney all abandoned their games to head into the arcade.  I think it is less about the playing the games, but rather they love the prizes they can select with the tickets or points they have won.  And, they aren’t spectacular prizes; rather, they are silly little plastic trinkets and candy.  But, to the kids they might as well be gold.  Regardless, they all had a great time.  I even was able to play a couple of air hockey games with Franny, which was great fun for me!  Unfortunately, I don’t have any pictures of Franny from this afternoon, but she had a great time, as well, being with her oldest friends (six years, now!!!) and enjoying the party.  Such good times!
