Yesterday, we made the tedious drive to the Broken Top No. 10 trailhead. The last five miles of 'road' required four wheel drive and took close to a half an hour to drive. But, it was definitely worth it. We were met by spectacular views, blue skies, and the feeling of peace that can only be found in a special place that has touched your heart and soul. I was thrilled to take the kids on this hike. In total we covered a little over three miles--we hiked through meadows, crossed streams, and were mesmerized by the beauty that surrounded us. This is a very special place, and I will miss it until we are able to return.
