Leaving Disneyland

This was our first trip to Disneyland during the holiday season.  It was really beautiful, done up with trees,    poinsettias, wreaths, lights, and character costumes.  From the big--such as the lights of It's A Small World--to the small, there was a festive atmosphere that made it a truly extraordinary experience.  They even had snow fall following the fireworks (and yes, it did look and feel real!). We spent four days this visit, but as before, it just didn't seem long enough.  This was a much different experience than our last--Delaney was caught unquestionably up in the magic and the characters (and the rides!), Cole initiated himself into daredevil status with his new found love of roller coasters, and Franny loved every minute of it. It is difficult to leave Disneyland--even a stroll down Main Street is a special experience.  Once away, there is a mixed feeling of Did it all really happen? and an instant desire to return.  Which leaves us to where we are now--counting the days until we return.
