For quite a while today, Delaney was content to check out the world from this vantage point. I don’t know what exactly she found so intriguing—heavy rain, a covey of quail noshing on seed, Dusty, or just the world in general? When I think about the continuous stream of new things that Delaney experiences on any given day, I can’t help but be fascinated at her adaptability and her ability to take it all in with such grace. Even a “down” day like this one can expose her to new things and experiences that we take for granted as familiar. One might think that being a baby is an easy and almost envious time of life. I am inclined to think quite the opposite. Although she is the youngest member of our family, I am quite impressed with little Delaney. Life is a big deal and she handles it quite well, indeed.
